My computer!!

Hey guys,
My dad's computer broke so he has mine, meaning I can't make any cool posts. I have this app on my iTouch that let's me write and post photos, but links, etc. would be hard.
In the mean while, I busted my knee wide open. There's about a square inch of skin just gone. Like... all of it... It's really gross. Kinda painful, but not too much. It's healing really quickly, thank God, but prayers would still be appreciated. Unfortunately with this cut it's hard to dance. Dang it. Anyways, enough griping.
There's a song I've been listening to A LOT lately called By Your Side ~ Tenth Avenue North. Shoot, I can't make it a link... Well, here's the webpage if you want to see. It's an amazing song. I love it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CdjRmM0Q0qs&feature=youtube_gdata <-Go check it out.
Here are the lyrics if you don't want to listen to the song.

Why are you striving these days
Why are you trying to earn grace
Why are you crying
Let me lift up your face
Just don't turn away

Why are you looking for love
Why are you still searching as if I'm not enough
To where will you go child
Tell me where will you run
To where will you run

'Cause I'll be by your side
Wherever you fall
In the dead of night
Whenever you call
And please don't fight
These hands that are holding you
My hands are holding you

Look at these hands and my side
They swallowed the grave on that night
When I drank the world's sin
So I could carry you in
And give you life
I want to give you life

'Cause I'll be by your side
Wherever you fall
In the dead of night
Whenever you call
And please don't fight
These hands that are holding you
My hands are holding you

'Cause I'll be by your side
Wherever you fall
In the dead of night
Whenever you call
And please don't fight
These hands that are holding you
My hands are holding you

Cause I, I love you
I want you to know
That I, I love you
I'll never let you go

'Cause I'll be by your side
Wherever you fall
In the dead of night
Whenever you call
And please don't fight
These hands that are holding you
My hands are holding you

'Cause I'll be by your side
Wherever you fall
In the dead of night
Whenever you call
And please don't fight
These hands that are holding you
My hands are holding you

Well...

...I don't know much about politics. I know my parents and most of my friends' parents are not very happy that this health care bill passed, though. I don't know much about it. I don't know how it will affect me now or in the future. I don't really have time to understand politics. I'm still swamped with high school work. Next year I'll be 18, meaning I'll be old enough to vote. I'll have to start learning about that stuff... Darn it.
All I know is that God's watching out for us and it'll all work out in the end.

~~~
Childlike faith. I'm not sure what the definition of that is... GOOGLE!!! Yay!...
Okay, I found this article. It's really cute... Little kids believe their daddy's can do anything. Well, God is our Daddy. And He can do anything! Duuuuh, He's God, right? Well, apparently a lot of people doubt him. What? Why? God is God is God. There's absopositutely nothing we can do about it. I mean, think about the world. He holds it IN HIS HANDS. Not even His arms! His hands!! And then think about your size in comparison to the world. Whooaaaaa you're teeny. I'm teeny. Teeny tiny. So, if God is that big He can do anything!! Right? Right.
Okay, so God is that big, He probably doesn't have time to deal with our problems. Wrong! If He has time to create the entire world, then spend time on the teeniest tiniest butterfly's wings, He probably (definitely) cares about you.
Matthew 10:29 - Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father.
(Apologies to my friends whose names are Sparrow *smile*)
If God won't let a bird fall down unless He says so, I don't think He's going to let your problems slide unless He says so. Also, if He says so, He has a 100000000% perfectly good reason.
It's example time! Names and places were changed to protect the identities of the innocent... or not-so-innocent. ;]
There's a girl named.... Oh, let's name her Mina. There's a guy named Lee and a guy named uhm... I dunno, James.
Okay, all three went to the same school, and they were all in the same grade. Mina really liked James, and I mean REALLY liked James. However, James didn't know it. Mina's really depressed because of that fact.... so depressed she almost cut herself, just to get attention from him. That was bad. God said, "Hey Mina, you like this guy too much and it's driving you insane! Sooo, I'm gonna take him away." James moved all the way across the country. Mina was sad. Very, very sad. However, she didn't let it bother her too much and continued with her life. She became friends with Lee and a bunch of other really cool people who she hated before, because she thought they weren't cool. When she got to know them, though, she found they were the best friends she could have ever asked for. She started being more involved with church and youth groups, became way closer to God, and had this awesome God-joy; she wasn't depressed anymore. Well, time went on and Mina and Lee (forgive my clichéness) fell in love.
Anyways - the point of the story is: James was taken away, the Lee came into the picture. Lee was a bajillion times better for Mina than James (no offense to the real life "James"). Lee helped Mina get closer to God, and vice-versa. So, God saw that it happened that they got to know each other. Mina doesn't know what's going to happen later, but she's doing her best to trust God and realize that even if He takes Lee away, it's going to be for the better... She just really doesn't want Lee to leave. :]
So, God'll do what's best, even if it seems reaaaaally lame at this point in time. You don't really have the power to see the future, even the near future, but God is God and He knows what's going to happen FOR ALL ETERNITY. That's pretty dang cool. Like... really dang cool. God is awesome.
Trust in God as a child trusts. A child can be held upside-down, laughing her head off, because she has complete trust in the person holding her upside-down. It's like Abraham - he has so much trust in God that he was willing to kill his son. That's how much trust we need to have. Just like a child. Nothing will hurt you unless God has a purpose for it, and even then, He's holding you when you need comfort from the pain.
That's all.
So do your best not to worry what the future will bring, 'cause God will always bring better. Hey, that was pretty cool sounding... hahaha.
~~~

Now I have like... 2 days of school to do today... So, peace out.

Only...

...four posts this month.

...one more day.

...three more days.

...a million more pages of science.

...a broken washer.

...four dollars left.

...too much to think about.

~~~
Blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.
^ That is pretty much how my week has been. Actually, it's an almost accurate description.
Monday: tons of homework, no ballet. Actually, it was a pretty good Monday... I don't remember why. I think it was 'cause I had a good phone conversation... and we watched Iron Man... and I found out I had one less paper to write (OH YEAHHHH!!!)
Tuesday: was weird. Weird weird weird. During lunch I was highly distressed to learn that my best friend had been grounded from Prayer Meeting as well as the computer. Urgh. I was kinda mad at him... but I got a big hug, which made it... sorta better. Carol, my ballet teacher, didn't get there until an hour after class started because she was looking for a puppy, hahaha. Prayer meeting was kind of really weird. I don't know how to explain it...
Wednesday: Violinviolinviolin... I didn't have to teach Carolyn, though. We played Hearts. No ballet. Policeman got annoyed at me... oops.
Thursday: School outside, gorgeous day. Hung out with Rachael and slept over. Missed ballet, but apparently I'm the girl being lifted... (omigosh omigosh omigosh omigosh omigosh omigosh yay yay yay yay yay yay yay yay yay)... If you couldn't tell, I'm super excited about that.
Friday: Played Star Wars Battlefront and RockBand with Joel and Rachel. It was weird, I was in my room and heard someone downstairs so I turned off the music. Nobody was supposed to be home...  Apparently our neighbour came over to let the dog out and didn't know I was home... o.O It was freaky. Mom got home that night, she'd been in Missouri the past week.
Saturday: That's today! More school... Did laundry, but then our washer broke.....oops. Rachael came over. She smashed us in Parcheesi, Rachel won Clue, and I swept in Egyptian Ratscrew! Why the heck is it called that anyways?
Goodnight. Tomorrow will be better than today, I think. Well, maybe not. I hope so.
This Week's Soundtrack...
"And so I'm trying to hold it all together and make it through the day, when I'm just dying to drop it all and take your hand so we can run away from all the miles and the hours that seem to endlessly devour the time that I could be with you... So I'm taking you with me anywhere that I could ever want to be. I want you there with me. And if there ever comes a time when I should have to leave, I hope you know that I'm taking you with me."
I'm Taking You With Me ~ Relient K
"I'm miles from where you are. I lay down on the cold ground. I pray that something picks me up and sets me down in your warm arms."
Set the FIre to the Third Bar ~ Snow Patrol
"Here I go! Scream my lungs out and try to get to you. You are my only one. I let go, but there's just no one, no one like you. You are my only, my only one."
Only One ~ Yellowcard
"I'm here to stay. Nothing can separate us. And I know I'm okay. You cradle me gently. Wrapped in your arms, I'm home."
Wrapped in Your Arms ~ Fireflight
"The pressure makes us stronger. The struggle makes us hunger. The hard lessons make the difference, and the difference makes it worth it."
For Those Who Wait ~ Fireflight
"I know You hear me, would You give me a sign? Reel me in before I've fallen in line. You've put me on a path I don't understand. I'm standing on a ledge waving my hands!"
Desperate ~ Fireflight
"Think of me, think of me fondly, when we've said goodbye. Remember me once in a while, please promise me you'll try."
Think of Me ~ The Phantom of the Opera
Yeah, unmotivation.
So, I haven't posted in like... a week and a day? Well, I haven't been feeling very... up? I've been kinda down, so haven't really felt up to much. Too much stuff happening... My mom is out of town, my youngest sister is being obstinate, I have two weeks of schoolwork due to the ACT last week, my dad's leaving for Florida on Thursday, and my best friend is grounded. That last one is probably the worst... This is kind of sad, my friends are the most important to me. They go above my school, my chores, even my family... The only thing they don't come above is God, but God is God and He has to be at the top.
~~~

Okay, I do have a purpose to this post, really!
First, I follow a number of blogs, 21 to be exact, though a lot of those post very rarely, if ever at all. Anyways, I was reading Daneland Fairyland who quotes songs. I saw this and absolutely loved it. So, thanks to them.
"When you have to look away, when you don't know what to say, that's when I love you. I love you, just that way. To hear you stumble when you speak, or see you walk with two left feet. That's when I love you, I love you, endlessly. And when you're mad cause you lost a game, forget I'm waiting in the rain, baby I love you, I love you anyway. 'Cause here's my promise made tonight, you can count on me for life. Cause that's when I love you, when nothing you do could change my mind. The more I learn, the more I love, the more my heart can't get enough. That's when I love you, I love you no matter what. So when you turn to hide your eyes, cause the movie it made you cry, that's when I love you, I love you a little more each time. And when you can't quite match your clothes or when you laugh at your own jokes, that's when I love you, I love you more than you'll know."
That's When I Love You ~ Aslyn

Actually, I've been thinking about this. I've been listening to Taylor Swift a lot lately (don't hate me for liking her, please!) and a lot of her songs are about break ups and stuff... If a couple, or best friends, or families fight, usually they get mad at each other and won't talk for a bit. Well, I don't really like that. I mean, if a simple fight can split you, there's not much hope for the relationship to grow, regardless of what kind it is. Something I wish people could do is listen to the other persons argument CALMLY, maybe give a bit of their side, and end with "I still love you." I mean, you love the person, right? How does an argument change that? If there are bunch of fights all strung in a row, then there's probably something you need to figure out.
I don't know. It made a bit more sense when I was thinking about it.

~~~
Ahaha, I just found eight steps on "How to Hold Hands." I wonder who doesn't know how to hold hands...
Anyways, what is holding hands? Well, I searched on (yes) Wikipedia, and it says,
"Two or more people voluntarily hold hands for one of the following reasons and purposes:
  • in various rituals:
    • handshake
    • in certain religious services, to pray
    • in various religious rituals
  • to express friendship or love
  • to enjoy physical intimacy (not necessarily of erotic character)
  • for emotional support
  • to guide (a child, a blind person, in darkness, etc.)
  • to urge to follow
  • to keep together (in a crowd or in darkness)
  • to help the other walk, stand or climb up
  • to dance
  • to arm wrestle
  • when crossing the street
  • while sky diving
  • to rescue in a dangerous situation:
    • pulling someone to safety"
(Blah, HTML giving me problems... wait... wait.... all fixed!)
Okay, a couple of my favourites: to arm wrestle and while skydiving, haha.
I love holding hands. I usually do so with my dreamboat, Rachel (don't think you want to know) or my friend Michael, who's like a big brother. Usually it's "to express friendship" or "for emotional support." I don't think I've really ever held hands just for the sake of holding hands, though.
Food for thought. Now I'm off to write three flippin' papers that are all due tomorrow. Procrastination is never the answer...but cramming is. :]
Love you all,
Holding Hands
Sunday, March 7, 2010
Whoa! Scary....
So, today I was hanging out with my dad and two sisters. We went to Applebee's, then we went to the mall, only to find that it closed... So, instead we went to Kohl's! It was really fun, I got a really cute shirt. Anyways, on the way home, I realize, "Oh crap... I don't have my iPod!!!!" Needless to say, I kinda really freaked out. We went back to Kohl's, much to the chagrin of my eight year old sister, who started crying. My and my younger older sister (that makes sense, right?) searched Kohl's while my dad took my little sister home. We couldn't find it and I was freaking out even more. Silently freaking out, but a lot. I ask my dad to call Applebee's while we kept looking... Guess what! Applebee's had it. PHEW! Oh my goodness, I flipped, though. Thank you, God!
~~~

HAHAHAHA!!! Oh my gosh, I just found a REALLY funny joke!! Okay, usually I'm really nice and don't bash people I don't like, but this was really hilarious...
"Dear God,
This year you have killed my favorite actor, Heath Ledger, my favorite actress, Farrah Fawcett, my favorite sales person, Billy Mayes, and my favorite singer, Michael Jackson. I just wanted to let you know that Barrack Obama is my favorite president."
Again, I don't usually make fun of politicians or people I don't like...... I didn't write the joke, either, I found it. It it offends you, apologies. :]

~~~
Well, on Tuesday I have to take the ACT, so my dad called my anatomy teacher and she said I don't have to do any of this week's homework until next week. HUZZAH!!!!
~~~

Off to write a paper...

It's been a week...

... and that reminds me of a song, but I'll stick a link in here somewhere later.

Well, after the rapid succession of posting last week, I suppose the very low number of posts this week will make up for it. I haven't been posting because I got my computer taken away. Not because I was in trouble, but because my dad needed it for something. So! I guess I have a lot to tell you...
*hiccup* Ah, phooey.
Aaaand my internet connection is going to give out... Just a second!!
...
...
...
Okay, all better. Now, let's see... what have I been up to?
Not much, actually. I have to take the ACT on Tuesday, so I'm kinda stressed about that. By kinda I mean a whole heck of a lot. Other than that it's been pretty run of the the mill around here... What does that phrase even mean? Jeesh...

~~~
Okay, that title reminded me of a song by Relient K called The Best Thing. OH! I was also recently introduced to Yellowcard and I am in love. They're super cool, so you should check them out. This song is called Believe and it has the coolest opening ever! Well, maybe that's just 'cause I'm a violinist. *smile* It's about 9/11, I'm pretty sure. It's a cool song.
~~~

Ouch, my fingers really hurt... I've been playing guitar again.

~~~
Uh... yeah... I dunno, I've been kinda down lately, so I suppose that's affecting my inspiration. So... bye!
Love, Sarah
