So, I got really really bored today, and read through all my posts. I just realized: I never wrote an intro!!! *laugh*
Alrighty, then.
My name is Sarah, of course. Sarah means princess in Hebrew (?) thus, the title for my blog. I'm not a crazy, egotistical maniac. Well... at least not the egotistical part. *wink*
I'm now 16, and have not yet gotten my license. I cannot wait until I do. I'm sick of having to be driven around everywhere. Rawr.
This is actually my second blog. The first one I started when I was in Berlin. I highly doubt it still exists. OH MY GOODNESS! It does! Well, here it is. There's not much, and (if I find out how) I'll probably just add it to my list of blogs. If I don't find out, I'll just copy and paste my posts.
Let's see, what else? I'm crazy? I've got awesome friends. I play violin. I dance. I'm horribly smothered in school. My dad's a teacher, my mom home schools us. I have two sisters - Rachel and Lydia. Probably all of you reading this already know everything I've written.
Right now I'm on dance break, so I have 3 hours more in my day. It's pretty dang awesome. However, it'll only last a week, and I'll probably go insane (-er) during this week.
Ah.... if there's anything you want to know, ask I guess...
Hugs and Kisses
~Sarah~
I never knew you lived in Berlin! That's weird.
ReplyDeleteYou do a good job of posting a lot. I always have about 6 or seven to read when I get on here. I don't remember to check your blog more than once every few weeks, but when I do, you've always been busy.
Also, if you ever want discussions about being in the Spirit, talk to Jim at YG. He's had that on his heart, and he's been seeking it for months now. I really like talking to Him, because, like you said, it is totally something we should live for. I might have some things to say on the subject, but mostly just because I talk with Jim about it every single time I see him. :D
And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.
Ephesians 6:18
Just popped into me head, so I thought I'd give it to ye.
Have a great life!

Yup, for a month! My dad was on sabbatical, so he was teaching there. It was like... a mega-long field trip. :)
ReplyDeleteDUDE! Can you read my mind?!? That's exactly what I've been trying to do for the past week!! Weird...
Thanks, bro.
~Sarah~
Well, I was only responding to your post about being in the Spirit, so I don't think it really qualifies as mindreading.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I wish to make an amendment to my previous comment. Not take anything away from, but add something.
I was in a bit of a hurry, so I forgot to mention that our lives are not to be focused on doing good works. Sometimes we can have the right goals in mind, like living in the Spirit, but our mindset can be wrong. We try to live in the Spirit, and therefore we fail, because we live in the Spirit not by works (trying), but by the grace of our Savior.
It can get to be a big circle-chasing party where we try really hard to not try, and then we realize that instead of actually being relaxed, we're trying, really hard to be relaxed. It doesn't work. We should consider carefully the words of our Lord when He says:
Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these.
Mark 10:14b
That may be the best verse to use, but what I mean is that we can get really worked up with all the things that happen in our lives and in trying to be a good Christian and do the right stuff, but the end goal of life is to be a little child and love our Father. He says unless you become like a little child, you cannot enter the kingdom of heaven. Does a little child worry if he's done everying good enough? Of course, not. Rather, he runs to his daddy wanting to sit in his lap.
Too often, I think, we get wrapped up in doing it all right and we completely miss the love that our Father has for us.
Wow, that was long. But I think it's good....
I never posted about that...... Or did I??
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot.
