Only...

...four posts this month.

...one more day.

...three more days.

...a million more pages of science.

...a broken washer.

...four dollars left.

...too much to think about.

~~~
Blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.
^ That is pretty much how my week has been. Actually, it's an almost accurate description.
Monday: tons of homework, no ballet. Actually, it was a pretty good Monday... I don't remember why. I think it was 'cause I had a good phone conversation... and we watched Iron Man... and I found out I had one less paper to write (OH YEAHHHH!!!)
Tuesday: was weird. Weird weird weird. During lunch I was highly distressed to learn that my best friend had been grounded from Prayer Meeting as well as the computer. Urgh. I was kinda mad at him... but I got a big hug, which made it... sorta better. Carol, my ballet teacher, didn't get there until an hour after class started because she was looking for a puppy, hahaha. Prayer meeting was kind of really weird. I don't know how to explain it...
Wednesday: Violinviolinviolin... I didn't have to teach Carolyn, though. We played Hearts. No ballet. Policeman got annoyed at me... oops.
Thursday: School outside, gorgeous day. Hung out with Rachael and slept over. Missed ballet, but apparently I'm the girl being lifted... (omigosh omigosh omigosh omigosh omigosh omigosh yay yay yay yay yay yay yay yay yay)... If you couldn't tell, I'm super excited about that.
Friday: Played Star Wars Battlefront and RockBand with Joel and Rachel. It was weird, I was in my room and heard someone downstairs so I turned off the music. Nobody was supposed to be home...  Apparently our neighbour came over to let the dog out and didn't know I was home... o.O It was freaky. Mom got home that night, she'd been in Missouri the past week.
Saturday: That's today! More school... Did laundry, but then our washer broke.....oops. Rachael came over. She smashed us in Parcheesi, Rachel won Clue, and I swept in Egyptian Ratscrew! Why the heck is it called that anyways?
Goodnight. Tomorrow will be better than today, I think. Well, maybe not. I hope so.
This Week's Soundtrack...
"And so I'm trying to hold it all together and make it through the day, when I'm just dying to drop it all and take your hand so we can run away from all the miles and the hours that seem to endlessly devour the time that I could be with you... So I'm taking you with me anywhere that I could ever want to be. I want you there with me. And if there ever comes a time when I should have to leave, I hope you know that I'm taking you with me."
I'm Taking You With Me ~ Relient K
"I'm miles from where you are. I lay down on the cold ground. I pray that something picks me up and sets me down in your warm arms."
Set the FIre to the Third Bar ~ Snow Patrol
"Here I go! Scream my lungs out and try to get to you. You are my only one. I let go, but there's just no one, no one like you. You are my only, my only one."
Only One ~ Yellowcard
"I'm here to stay. Nothing can separate us. And I know I'm okay. You cradle me gently. Wrapped in your arms, I'm home."
Wrapped in Your Arms ~ Fireflight
"The pressure makes us stronger. The struggle makes us hunger. The hard lessons make the difference, and the difference makes it worth it."
For Those Who Wait ~ Fireflight
"I know You hear me, would You give me a sign? Reel me in before I've fallen in line. You've put me on a path I don't understand. I'm standing on a ledge waving my hands!"
Desperate ~ Fireflight
"Think of me, think of me fondly, when we've said goodbye. Remember me once in a while, please promise me you'll try."
Think of Me ~ The Phantom of the Opera
Yeah, unmotivation.
So, I haven't posted in like... a week and a day? Well, I haven't been feeling very... up? I've been kinda down, so haven't really felt up to much. Too much stuff happening... My mom is out of town, my youngest sister is being obstinate, I have two weeks of schoolwork due to the ACT last week, my dad's leaving for Florida on Thursday, and my best friend is grounded. That last one is probably the worst... This is kind of sad, my friends are the most important to me. They go above my school, my chores, even my family... The only thing they don't come above is God, but God is God and He has to be at the top.
~~~

Okay, I do have a purpose to this post, really!
First, I follow a number of blogs, 21 to be exact, though a lot of those post very rarely, if ever at all. Anyways, I was reading Daneland Fairyland who quotes songs. I saw this and absolutely loved it. So, thanks to them.
"When you have to look away, when you don't know what to say, that's when I love you. I love you, just that way. To hear you stumble when you speak, or see you walk with two left feet. That's when I love you, I love you, endlessly. And when you're mad cause you lost a game, forget I'm waiting in the rain, baby I love you, I love you anyway. 'Cause here's my promise made tonight, you can count on me for life. Cause that's when I love you, when nothing you do could change my mind. The more I learn, the more I love, the more my heart can't get enough. That's when I love you, I love you no matter what. So when you turn to hide your eyes, cause the movie it made you cry, that's when I love you, I love you a little more each time. And when you can't quite match your clothes or when you laugh at your own jokes, that's when I love you, I love you more than you'll know."
That's When I Love You ~ Aslyn

Actually, I've been thinking about this. I've been listening to Taylor Swift a lot lately (don't hate me for liking her, please!) and a lot of her songs are about break ups and stuff... If a couple, or best friends, or families fight, usually they get mad at each other and won't talk for a bit. Well, I don't really like that. I mean, if a simple fight can split you, there's not much hope for the relationship to grow, regardless of what kind it is. Something I wish people could do is listen to the other persons argument CALMLY, maybe give a bit of their side, and end with "I still love you." I mean, you love the person, right? How does an argument change that? If there are bunch of fights all strung in a row, then there's probably something you need to figure out.
I don't know. It made a bit more sense when I was thinking about it.

~~~
Ahaha, I just found eight steps on "How to Hold Hands." I wonder who doesn't know how to hold hands...
Anyways, what is holding hands? Well, I searched on (yes) Wikipedia, and it says,
"Two or more people voluntarily hold hands for one of the following reasons and purposes:
  • in various rituals:
    • handshake
    • in certain religious services, to pray
    • in various religious rituals
  • to express friendship or love
  • to enjoy physical intimacy (not necessarily of erotic character)
  • for emotional support
  • to guide (a child, a blind person, in darkness, etc.)
  • to urge to follow
  • to keep together (in a crowd or in darkness)
  • to help the other walk, stand or climb up
  • to dance
  • to arm wrestle
  • when crossing the street
  • while sky diving
  • to rescue in a dangerous situation:
    • pulling someone to safety"
(Blah, HTML giving me problems... wait... wait.... all fixed!)
Okay, a couple of my favourites: to arm wrestle and while skydiving, haha.
I love holding hands. I usually do so with my dreamboat, Rachel (don't think you want to know) or my friend Michael, who's like a big brother. Usually it's "to express friendship" or "for emotional support." I don't think I've really ever held hands just for the sake of holding hands, though.
Food for thought. Now I'm off to write three flippin' papers that are all due tomorrow. Procrastination is never the answer...but cramming is. :]
Love you all,
Whoa! Scary....
So, today I was hanging out with my dad and two sisters. We went to Applebee's, then we went to the mall, only to find that it closed... So, instead we went to Kohl's! It was really fun, I got a really cute shirt. Anyways, on the way home, I realize, "Oh crap... I don't have my iPod!!!!" Needless to say, I kinda really freaked out. We went back to Kohl's, much to the chagrin of my eight year old sister, who started crying. My and my younger older sister (that makes sense, right?) searched Kohl's while my dad took my little sister home. We couldn't find it and I was freaking out even more. Silently freaking out, but a lot. I ask my dad to call Applebee's while we kept looking... Guess what! Applebee's had it. PHEW! Oh my goodness, I flipped, though. Thank you, God!
~~~

HAHAHAHA!!! Oh my gosh, I just found a REALLY funny joke!! Okay, usually I'm really nice and don't bash people I don't like, but this was really hilarious...
"Dear God,
This year you have killed my favorite actor, Heath Ledger, my favorite actress, Farrah Fawcett, my favorite sales person, Billy Mayes, and my favorite singer, Michael Jackson. I just wanted to let you know that Barrack Obama is my favorite president."
Again, I don't usually make fun of politicians or people I don't like...... I didn't write the joke, either, I found it. It it offends you, apologies. :]

~~~
Well, on Tuesday I have to take the ACT, so my dad called my anatomy teacher and she said I don't have to do any of this week's homework until next week. HUZZAH!!!!
~~~

Off to write a paper...

It's been a week...

... and that reminds me of a song, but I'll stick a link in here somewhere later.

Well, after the rapid succession of posting last week, I suppose the very low number of posts this week will make up for it. I haven't been posting because I got my computer taken away. Not because I was in trouble, but because my dad needed it for something. So! I guess I have a lot to tell you...
*hiccup* Ah, phooey.
Aaaand my internet connection is going to give out... Just a second!!
...
...
...
Okay, all better. Now, let's see... what have I been up to?
Not much, actually. I have to take the ACT on Tuesday, so I'm kinda stressed about that. By kinda I mean a whole heck of a lot. Other than that it's been pretty run of the the mill around here... What does that phrase even mean? Jeesh...

~~~
Okay, that title reminded me of a song by Relient K called The Best Thing. OH! I was also recently introduced to Yellowcard and I am in love. They're super cool, so you should check them out. This song is called Believe and it has the coolest opening ever! Well, maybe that's just 'cause I'm a violinist. *smile* It's about 9/11, I'm pretty sure. It's a cool song.
~~~

Ouch, my fingers really hurt... I've been playing guitar again.

~~~
Uh... yeah... I dunno, I've been kinda down lately, so I suppose that's affecting my inspiration. So... bye!
Whoa, tomorrow is March!
Actually, I absolutely hate March... It's probably my least favourite month. The snow starts melting and gets all slushy and gross, the roads are really bad, it's cold, cloudy, and windy... I just don't like March.
~~~

Today was an amazing day! I didn't wake up until 10:30... We don't have to leave for church until 11... My friend Andy got confirmed! Yay for her!
After that I went to a violin recital. I played La Folia... again... Haha, I've played that song for almost two years, now. Anyways, I also have three students, who all played - Parker played the Monkey Song, Morgan played Lightly Row, and Carolyn played Humeresque by Dvorak, or however he spelled his name. They all did quite well. Parker and Morgan's mom treated me to Coldstone Ice Cream afterwards!! Yes!!! That was really fun.
I love hanging out with Luke and Jalen. Whenever we do, we have awesome moments, weird moments, extremely awkward moments, and just... moments. We're pretty much never bored, unless we're waiting for our sisters to finish their basketball games... No matter what we're doing, just hanging, eating ice cream, playing video games, or watching a movie, it's always fun. I hate leaving... the only good thing about leaving is hugs, which I can always get any other time... so there's really nothing good about leaving...
I have a ton of awesome friends - my friends from Youth Group, my friends from Lifeteen, my friends from Explorers, my friends from ballet, and my friends from... well, forever. I might do separate posts on each of these groups... but don't count on it. I'll probably forget... hahaha.

~~~
My phone cracked in half. Darn it... But my sister got hers taken away, so my dad is letting me use it... I'll hopefully get a new one soon... it's all nice and fancy and plays music! Huzzah!
~~~

I love getting letters. The only person who really gives me them, though, is my best friend, Jalen. I got one for Valentine's Day AND for my birthday! Two in two weeks! I feel so special.... Haha. The one for my birthday was cool - it had 17 different things we'd done together the past year and why they were so awesome.

~~~
There's only time to live our lives, and you'll be the one who's by my side, and I can promise you that. You'll always be my best friend.
~ Relient K
Here I go! Scream my lungs out and try to get to you! You are my only one! I let go, but there's just no one who gets me like you do! You are my only, my only one!
I posted this morning...
... but if I don't, I'll forget to!
So, today it was my birthday. THE BEST BIRTHDAY I'VE EVER HAD!!! Oh my goodness, my friends are the greatest friends any girl could ever ask for.
So, all morning/afternoon I was cleaning, cooking, whatever you do in preparation for a party. My friend Ian got there first, about ten minutes early, so he helped me clean a little bit. Unfortunately, due to snow, not everybody could make it... *sadface* Anyways, for the first little while people just kinda talked and ate... It was kinda awkward, there were two groups: the ballet group and everybody else.... but we played Kung Fu (best game ever) and everybody did that. Uhm... let's see, we went outside and had the most epic snowball fight ever! Then we played Zombies (also a fun game) and everybody froze their butts off... Hahaha, it was great. We went back inside to do cake and presents... I got the best presents EVER: my first Nerf gun! Hahahahaha, I'm a n00b. FIRECRACKERS! Yessss..... I got ginormous glasses. My best friend gave me two necklaces. One says, "My love for you will always remain," and has a little heart... thingymajigger... on it. Haha. The other is just the fancy little design and the packaging thingy said something about dance. I got the greatest CD ever: Unbreakable, some Linkin Park, some Paramore, Sadie Hawkin's Dance, some Shinedown, and Break. AMAZING. I got a WHOLE ton of candy... hehehe... I'll share it, don't worry! I got a really pretty calendar. I got really yummy smelly foot wash stuff, perfect for a dancer, haha. I got a bunch of cards, some giftcards for Panera, iTunes, and Target. I'll put up some of the better photos... my sister is a photographer, and therefore hates flash... which makes for blurry photos. Gr. Haha, anyways, yeah. After that we just kinda played different things. It was awesome.
I love my friends, sooooo much!
It's my birthday!
Yeah, I'm posting at like. 12:30 in the morning... but that's okay.
I'm 17 now. Well, not officially. Not until about 4pm... but whatever.
I just got back from a Kutless/Casting Crowns/Caleb concert. It was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. Soooooooooo much God. So much awesome. Haha, it was really funny, though, the first or second song Kutless sang the guy behind us got mad at us for standing up... oops... They played two of my favourite Kutless songs though! Huzzah!
Then Casting Crowns played. Okay, I really do not like them. At all... or so I thought. They're SO much better live. They played a couple of songs that I hadn't heard... They also played Voice of Truth, and Praise You In The Storm... They also played Who Am I. During Who Am I, I looked over at my best friend, who's sitting there... crying... I've never seen him cry before. Well... sorta, I saw him after he cried once... Anyways, there was just so much God-awesomeness it was amazing. It was sooooo great. I was greatly surprised that I didn't cry at all... but hey, if both you and your best friend are crying, who's going to comfort the other? Hahaha.
Yeah, it was insane. And awesome. And super cool... and just... Yeah, I was pretty much blown away. God is so awesome. So so so so so so awesome. Go God!
Oh, the Casting Crowns guy is from Georgia, so he was like, "There's so much snow! How do y'all deal with it??" Or something like that. "Am I allowed to say y'all?" Hahaha.
On the way home, we were really tired, so I put my head on Jalen's shoulder and said, "Payback!" (He'd used my shoulder for a crying pillow, haha), "But... that's not the right word..." So for almost twenty minutes we were trying to figure out the right word. Finally, I said, "It's not repaid, is it?" And he said, "Uh... yeah, actually it is." ... Then we burst into laughter. Haha, I love my friends. Especially when it gets to be later at night.... after an awesome concert... and a bit of caffeine. <3
Okay, it's late... so... goodnight, y'all!
Bloop!
It's like a fish sound...
Okay, so I tried to make this vlog thing, but it really failed... I have absopositutely no idea how to put it on here without putting it on Youtube, which I don't really feel like doing.
Hm... what have I been up to? Not much, actually. Being a little too lazy for my own good... Too much sleeping in, too little getting homework done... I've been pretty bad this week.
My sister showed me this hilarious site, though. It's called Simon's Cat and it's this cartoon about a cat. It's pretty awesome. We own three cats, so it's really amusing to see how much they're alike. Of course, the cartoon is... a cartoon, so it's like an exaggerated version of our cats... but that makes it funnier!
I also saw the most adorable movie preview!!! It's called Letters to Juliet. Okay, I never EVER cry during movies, books, anything... but this made me tear up. Yeah... either I'm in an extremely weird mood, or this is gonna be one heck of a movie. Anyways, I REALLY want to see this... May 7, I think it said...
~~~

This week has been pretty bad, like I said... On Sunday I was sick during church, and couldn't even get up to play the last songs... I'm on the worship team and play violin. It's pretty fun, and mostly improv, so pretty easy. Anyways, my best friend was really sick, so he couldn't come to the Lifeteen meeting that night... *sad face* Then on Monday, I had a ton of homework to catch up on... a result of doing very little school during the rest of the week. Tuesday was just kind of really bad. I went to Explorers, and on the way there, I remember that I still had some homework due. Shoot. I get there and find out that my friend is STILL sick and won't be coming. That put a damper on my day, to say the least. Two of my friends commented on it saying I was really depressed looking and should smile. After resting the whole day, he felt better and came to the Prayer Meeting. Huzzah! For some reason, I was still really depressed feeling, though... Well, at least for the first hour or so. After that we started talking about why I was down and he really cheered me up. So, if you're reading this, thank you! Today is Wednesday. Went down about the same as any Wednesday. Well, I didn't go to ballet. My mom made me go to this church thing... it was kind of really lame... I don't like saying church is lame... but the DVD we were watching broke in the middle... soooooo... it was lame.

~~~
I was listening to Avril Lavigne all day Monday. Made my day a little better.
"Keep holding on, 'cause you know we'll make it through. We'll make it through. Just stay strong, 'cause you know I'm here for you. I'm here for you."
~~~

Tomorrow (or today, I should say...) I'm going to a Kutless/Casting Crowns concert! YESSS!!!! My sister isn't going, 'cause she's lame like that. Haha, just kidding! She isn't feeling good... But yeah, that should be fun. Then on Friday, it's my birthday! What in the world, I'm going to be seventeen......... There's just something wrong with that. I'm supposed to be sixteen for the rest of forever, hahaha.

~~~
I should wrap this up. Like a burrito. Haha, woooooow, it's getting too late for me to think straight... hahahahahaha... bad mind things happening. I'll stop now. *laugh*
My house is cold...
Hi y'all!!!
Alright, let's see, today I'm in a really bad mood. But I'm pretending I'm not. It isn't working out so well... Hrm... Oh well, I don't really care.
When I get in a bad mood, I'm really apathetic and don't care about anything. I get really selfish... oops. Today I have a pretty legitimate reason - I was in a lot of pain. I don't know what it was, but my entire abdomen was hurting like crazy... I was at church, and ended up having to lie down. :(
~~~

I need to write a three page paper, and a one page paper... that oughtn't take too much effort. That's really all I have to do for school...

~~~
My friend Rachael's parents went to France and got her some clothes there. One dress was too small, so she gave it to me for my birthday. It's really cute, and I think I'll wear it on Tuesday. It's kind of short, it goes almost to my knees, so I'll have to wear jeans or leggings under it.
Girl Question: How do you compensate for too short shorts/skirts, or too short/low shirts?
My Answer: If my shorts are too short, I'll wear black leggings under them. Still looks cute, but it doesn't show as much skin. The leggings go down to right below my knees or lower if I stretch them out a bit more... If it's a skirt, I'll wear the leggings, and a pair of shorts. I run around a lot during the summer, so if I don't wear shorts under my skirts or dresses, it tends to pose a problem.
For shirts, I'll usually wear a leotard under it. I dance almost everyday, so I wear a leotard anyways, but it makes an awesome camisole, especially since I don't have any long camisoles, and it can't come untucked! If the shirt's too low, I'll wear another shirt under it, or flip a tank top around. I tend to find the front of tank tops too low, but if you wear it backwards, as silly as that seems, it works better.
Guys: I think I've said this before, but if one of your girl friends (you know what I mean) is wearing something that is... well, something you don't think she should wear, tell her. If something she does, says, etc. causes problems for you, tell her. Unless she's a real jerk, I don't think she'll mind. As Christian girls, we (usually) try pretty hard not to be distracting or immodest... but it happens. Sometimes things don't work out as well as they seem to in the mirror.
~~~

That's about all I have to say... that was a pretty serious post. Tell me what you think!

Love, Sarah
