I'm back!

So, I just went on an AWESOME retreat with my youth group. It. Was. Amazing. It was so cool. Easily one of the best weekends ever. Besides the CRAZY lack of sleep, it was pretty much 45 hours with amazing friends, a kick-butt retreat team, amazing music, great talks and testimonies, hours and hours of praise and worship, and an AMAZING GOD!! It was so great!! Basically, it was about prayer and surrendering. Three of my best friends got over something they've been struggling with for the past three years to two months. I got an awesome relief from the stresses of family problems and school, and this awesome joyful expectancy - God did awesome things on that retreat, but he's gonna do even more awesome things. Flipping sweet, awesome, Spirit-filled things. God is awesome.

Fictional book:
Didn't I already say my favorite book? Okay, I'll pick another. Les Miserables, by Victor Hugo. He is an amazing writer. And it's an amazing book. There's probably an accent in there that I forgot, though.

Non-fictional book:
The Bible by... well, God. Yeah. Read the Bible. It's pretty much amazing. Personally, I really like the stories about kings in the Old Testament and Paul's epistles in the New Testament.

11 and 12

A photo of you taken recently:

Lame-o lighting. And a blackberry in my mouth. :3
Whatever tickles your fancy:
I'm going out of town for the next two days, so I won't be posting anything. I'm going on a church retreat! And it's gonna rawk, haha! But seriously, it's gonna be totally awesome and Spirit-filled. Pray for us!

:(

Sunday, I wasn't home all day. Monday, I was doing homework all day, and yesterday, I wasn't home all day again. *sigh* Senior year is a mean thing that gives me no time :(

A photo that makes you happy:
My friend Jono took a picture of his sister Annie holding a pineapple and doing a Psych pose. It's awesome. Unfortunately, I can't post it. So you can see... this one. It's a kitten.

A photo that makes you angry/sad:
Definitely this one. Girls, or guys, even, should not have to starve themselves to feel beautiful! You shouldn't be looking and the mirror and seeing a fat, ugly, person. You should a gorgeous person that God made a specific way for a specific reason! Yes, eating too much is not good, but eating itself is *not* a terrible thing. The average amount of calories a teenage girl, I'm pretty sure, should eat in a day is 2000. Not 200. I'm 5'3" and dance everyday. I need to eat over 2200 calories a day to maintain my weight! And I'm a healthy weight! So please, please, please, eat. Not eating results in so many health problems. Not to mention, you turn into a brittle skeleton that could snap at anytime. Not to mention, food is delicious.
Apologies for the somewhat graphic photo.

A photo you took:
Uhhmmmm I don't ever take photos. Well, actually I do sometimes, but only with my webcam which has really, really bad quality. So, here ya go. This is me and my sister Lydia being reallllly weird. I'll put a normal one in, too.
Haha, don't we look like skulls?

We look a lot alike...

A photo of you taken over ten years ago:
Six years old?
Yeah, I wore my hair in pigtails eeeeeeeveryday. Haha, Lydia and I really do look alike. Sorry for the bad quality, I took a picture of the picture with my webcam.

P.S. Happy Mama Sparrow?

Still bad at this.

Days 5 and 6.

Favorite quote:
Hm...... There's a lot. Songs, Bible verses, and anything from Psych. "Don't be afraid, we'll make it out of this mess." from Taylor Swift's Love Story, "when you lie down, you will not be afraid. When you lie down your sleep will be sweet." Proverbs 3:24, "A little girl outside just started crying when she saw this shirt." Shawn Spencer in Psych. Take your pick. I don't really like many serious quotes, though.

Whatever tickles my fancy:
Well, I could ramble on and on and on. Or I could tell you a horrible thing that happened to me last night.
Background: A while back, the ignition on our van got all whacky so we got a new key.
So, I dropped off Rachel at Mission Christ, then I went to Jalen's house and we watched Psych and Sanctuary for about an hour and forty minutes. By then it was around 10:40pm. I had to pick up my sister at 11, and it takes about 15-20 minutes to get to the church from where I was. I went outside to the car and realize... Oh man, this key only works for the ignition. And I always lock my car. Oops. I'm forty minutes from home and locked out of my car. At 11 at night. My mom had to drive allll the way from our house to give me a key then go pick up Rachel. *sigh* That's my life.

Favorite book

Time Cat by Lloyd Alexander. It's awesome. It's a children's book about a a boy and his cat and they travel through history and around the world. It's awesome.

In other news, it's Rachael's birthday! Yayyy!! I loooooove Rachael soooooo much!! <3 Happy seventeenth, love.

Today kind of stinks. I have a headache and I'm really bad at calculus and I don't want to take tests or do school and my back hurts. But I have good friends, so it's okay.

Days 1, 2, and 3

Wow, I'm really bad at this. Okay, try again.

Favorite song:
Easy. Wrapped In Your Arms by Fireflight. I love it I love it I love it. I love the music, I love the words, I love the message, I love the applicability, I just love it. Wonderful song. I also love Love Story by Taylor Swift and Lucky by Jason Mraz.

Favorite movie:
Hm..... probably Finding Nemo. It's so cute and happy and I love Dory. :]

Favorite television program:
Psych! It's amazing! It's about a guy who solves crimes by being super smart and observant, but he tells the police he's psychic. It's hilarious and awesome.

Sorry for not doing this for the first two days, I got to play taxi driver for my sisters 'cause my mom's been busy with Lydia's Cinderella play. She's a dessert chef, yay! Haha, I have no idea what the heck a dessert chef does.

Lonely

Hm... I'm kinda lonely right now.
I'm lonely whenever I'm not with my friends, or talking to them, or chatting with them on facebook. I'm the girl who tries to be nice to everyone. If you talk to me, I like you... most likely ;] If you don't talk to me, I won't try to talk to you. That's how I am. However, this makes for few select friends. This is nice... most of the time. But sometimes I wish I had more good friends. Or just more people to hang out with. More people I cared about. Then again, where would I find time? I guess I'm happy with the amount of friends I have. They're the best friends any girl could ask for.
However, I have problems with a lot of my friends. We fight sometimes, and I hate it. But, that's what happens. You fight, you make up, you don't bring it up again. Sometimes people don't forget about it, which bothers me, but hey - If you want to remember a bad time in your life, go for it. I do my best to remember the lesson and forget the event. The problem is when they bring it up again with me. Then I get sad because I remember we fought, and things just go downhill from there.
My friend Jalen and I have started doing something neat. A few nights a week, one of us will call the other, and we'll pray. Nothing fancy, just a simple, "Hey God, thanks for today. Bless us in our school, in our life, in our friendship, and whatever else we might be doing this week. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit. You're awesome. Amen." Something along those lines. I've noticed that I'm generally in a pretty good mood whenever we do that. Although, if we don't, I tend to be a little more lonely when I wake up.

So - how's your prayer life going? Mine's going pretty swell. Yes, I just used the word swell.
Now, how's your prayer life with your friends and family going? - Mine.... could use some (a lot) of work.

Time for church. Adios!

Secrets, secrets

Secrets, secrets are no fun when you share with everyone.

I have one secret I keep.
One secret that no human on earth will ever know.
One secret that is between me and God.
Nobody knows about it - not my parents, not my sisters, not even my best friend.
This is a secret I don't want to share.
I don't want anybody to know about it.

I have one secret I keep.
One secret that I want every human on earth to know.
One secret that's between me and about five or six of my friends.
Nobody knows about it save those friends.
This is a secret I want to share.
I want everybody to know about it.

Secrets, secrets are no fun when you can't share with anyone.

Hey, I wrote a poem! But it doesn't rhyme, so it kind of bothers me.
The only time I write poems is when something is pretty out of whack. Right now, I'm sick, so that's screwing up all of my everything, whether it be physical, psychological, and emotional. I'm also really stressed and just needing a break from life. I wish I had a clicker to pause life with. And a clicker is a remote, for those of you unfamiliar with my interesting speech patterns.

Photos and photoshop

So, I like photoshopping people to make them look all fancy and make-uped (no, that's not a real word). It's a little weird, yes, and I'm not very good at it, but it's something I enjoy. There's one I did today of me in my new hat. Which is a raccoon. I love this hat. Unfortunately, the internet likes jpg files, and jpg files do not like color. There are a couple pictures of a black-and-white eye that I colored. And Miss Schultz, who doesn't actually ever wear makeup. I photoshopped some on just to see what it'd look like.

Raccoon hat!

Miss Schultz
